Select Monday Evenings in November/December are Drop-In TRIALS @ Hoover Street Studios.

If you are vaccinated against COVID-19 and the Influenza, you can attend DROP-IN TRIALS on select Monday evenings at Hoover Street Studios.

NOVEMBER DROP IN Trial Nights are November 9, 16 and 23rd from 6:00-7:15 for Somatics Yoga class.

DECEMBER DROP IN Trial Nights are December 6 and 13th from 6-7:15 pm. Classes will be organized for 2022 based on participant availability.

Suggested donation is $12-$20 per class. However, these are TRIALS, designed for you to experience this amazing yoga experience and register for 2022 class meetings. Payment is flexible and by donation.

Hoover Street Studios are located at 323 East Hoover Avenue, Ann Arbor MI 48105. You MAY park at U of M Blue Lots after 5 pm at no cost.

Just wear comfortable workout clothes and a yoga mat | props, such as a strap and blocks, if you have them.

About the Instructor’s Life in Yoga

Christina-Marie is a life-long dancer who became a Yogi while studying at University of Michigan in the schools of College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Music. She has continued to study Yoga and Dance, with unbridled passion and devotion. She has practiced Yoga for 30 years, and has attained Certifications through East West Somatics Institute and is a RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance.

A Moving Life: She Dances


Christina is a dancer/choreographer and interdisciplinary artist. She practices the following dance forms: American Classics- Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, and European Folk Dance: Ballet, specializing in body-friendly ballet, although she started training as a teenager with a Kirov Ballerina who defected from Russia. Choreography and Improvisation. And a form of dance called Intrinsic Dance. This she terms such because of her relationship and studies with Sondra Horton Fraleigh “sensai” who has been a mentor since 1997.

Christina has studied Modern Dance extensively, training in Martha Graham’s technique from Graham Company soloists, Merce Cunningham Teaching in England and New York City at the WestBeth Studios, and Limon Technique with Company Member Gay Delanghe. She served as Artistic Director of People Dancing Company for twenty years, and has always been a huge supporter of Innovation in Dance. Her creative spirit lead her to study Creative Writing and Literature at EMU, and she continues to write poetry, fiction, and cross-genre pieces alongside her Yoga Practice. Christina continues to dance professionally through her performance project “GreenDances” and is enthusiastic about teaching and learning relationships. She won the Touchstone Dance Educator of the Year Commendation from Michigan Dance Council and the Meemic Foundation in 2016, and was thrilled to receive this award at the campus of Western Michigan University during Michigan Youth Arts Festival in 2016.
